Name of Hike: Family Friendly Hike on Joe Clark Trail at Lake Wilson

Location: Lake Wilson, 4668 S. Lake Wilson Road, Fayetteville, AR. 72701
Meeting Place and Time: Meet at the Lake Wilson Pavilion in south Fayetteville at 9:00 AM

Type of Hike: Interpretive-Educational-Interactive. All ages, levels, or skills are welcome.
Fun Fact: The trail was built in 1995 by members of the Ozark Society and dedicated to Joe and Maxine Clark in 1995. Missouri Dept. of Conservation.
Hiking Distance: We will hike the outer loop trail around the lake which is 1.76 miles. (There is also an inside loop trail around the lake which is 1.33 miles).
Elevation Gain: 137 feet (minimum elevation at 1,322 feet and a maximum of 1,405 feet).
Rating: Easy to moderate
Features: Natural trails, bridge crossing, creek crossings, interesting rock formations, occasional wildlife and early spring native flowers

Comment: Bring water, snack, lunch, rain gear, gloves, and wear hiking boots or sturdy shoes. Hiking poles may be helpful. All hikers are responsible for their own safety. For hikes described as Family Friendly, children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pets are allowed on Family Friendly Hikes only when the owner checks trail regulations and follows them at all times. Participants are required to sign a liability release at the trailhead to take part in any Ozark Society outing. Everyone is welcome to hike with the OSHC, whether an Ozark Society member or not.
